In September 2024, with the support and assistance of Sunderland College, we were able to employ two new Apprentices to join our team at Sunderland. Jamie Grant and Connor Sloan both hail from Sunderland and have joined the company as Engineering Technician Apprentices.
As apprentices, both Jamie and Connor are undergoing a comprehensive training program, attending Sunderland College on a weekly basis, and at Pallion working closely with experienced mentors to develop the skills needed for a successful career in the paint coating industry. Pipeline Protection are dedicated to nurturing their young talent, and determined that they will go on to secure full-time roles within the company.
Roger MacDonald (Company Director) said “Employing Jamie and Connor has been such a positive experience from our perspective. They are both very hard working and committed to their roles, showing a great enthusiasm to learn Their positive attitude has meant that they are already an integral part of the team. As a company we are in a growth stage, and it has been invaluable to us to have been able to employ them and be able to train them to our specific needs.”
