Port of Shoreham (Marine)Posted on Feb 19, 2018
Pipeline repairs were required for this project in Shoreham. To maintain a constant sea level for harbouring within the Port of Shoreham there are 4 large sea water inlet pipes which transfer water into the harbour. Pipeline Protection surveyed one water inlet pipe which recorded the condition with a full report issued to the client.
The pipeline was jet washed then mechanically prepared to remove build up of deposits which had adhered to the internal surface. Pipeline Protection then repaired areas where there was significant erosion of the original lining system. Bitumen enamel was hand applied to BS534 to provide the same protection system as originally supplied.
